Description

A delightful dessert that combines sweet apples and tart cranberries, topped with a crunchy oat-laden crisp, perfect for autumn gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cranberries, sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir and pour into a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, and brown sugar. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and bubbling.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
