- 2 pounds frozen hash browns
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Mix until creamy and lump-free.
- Stir in the frozen hash browns until evenly coated.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispy top, consider broiling for the last 3-5 minutes, keeping an eye to avoid burning.
