Description

Delicious party snacks combining shrimp, crab, and cheese wrapped in crispy tortillas.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb cooked crab meat, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup queso dip
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, mix shrimp, crab, Monterey Jack cheese, cream cheese, queso, cilantro, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until creamy.
  2. Fill the Tortillas: Place 2-3 tablespoons of filling in each tortilla, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Fry Until Golden: Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry tortillas seam-side down until golden and crunchy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve Up: Remove toothpicks, plate, drizzle with warm queso, and garnish with cilantro. Serve immediately.

Notes

These bites can be made ahead of time and fried just before serving. They also freeze well if prepped before frying.
