Description

A creamy and vibrant pasta dish combining fluffy linguine with tender chicken in a rich butter sauce, flavored with garlic and fresh herbs.


Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Let sit.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 6–7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook linguine in a pot of boiling salted water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  4. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Sauté garlic, parsley, and thyme for 1–2 minutes. Add chicken broth and lemon juice, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Slice the cooked chicken into strips.
  6. Add linguine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to combine. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency, then fold in sliced chicken.
  7. Plate the pasta, garnishing with Parmesan and extra herbs if desired. Serve warm.
