- 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cottage cheese (blended)
- 1/2 egg, beaten (or flaxseed egg for vegan version)
- Optional toppings: sesame seeds, everything but bagel seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add 1 cup of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Whisk well to combine.
- In a food processor, blend 1 cup of cottage cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the blended cottage cheese into the bowl of dry ingredients. Mix gently until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and poke a hole in the center, stretching to form a bagel shape.
- Brush the tops and sides with the beaten egg and sprinkle with optional toppings.
- For air frying, preheat to 300°F and cook for about 13 minutes. For the oven, preheat to 375°F and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
