Description

Delicious cake pops that combine creamy white chocolate and fluffy vanilla cake for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream (or milk)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 cake pop sticks
  • 12 ounces white chocolate (divided into 4 oz and 8 oz portions)
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to package directions and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into fine pieces using your hands or two forks, creating an airy texture.
  3. Beat the softened butter with a hand mixer until fluffy—about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add in powdered sugar, mixing well. Pour in heavy cream and vanilla extract, continuing to beat until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency.
  5. Fold in 3 tablespoons of frosting into the crumbled cake until the mixture holds together.
  6. Roll 2 tablespoons of cake mixture into balls, or utilize a cake pop press for uniformity.
  7. Melt 4 oz white chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted chocolate and then into a cake ball.
  8. Place the cake balls in the freezer for 1 hour or refrigerate for 2 hours to set.
  9. Melt the remaining 8 oz white chocolate, heating in intervals until melted.
  10. Dip each cake pop in white chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Roll or sprinkle with decorative sprinkles.
  11. Set on a lined tray or in a foam box to harden fully in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute refined sugar with natural sweeteners and consider adding flaxseeds.
