Description

A delightful dessert that marries creamy pudding, sweet fruit, and crunchy cookies for an unforgettable treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup (245 g) buttermilk
  • 16 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
  • 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, well-drained
  • 20 fudge stripe cookies, crushed, divided

Instructions

  1. Prep your bowls: In a large bowl, combine instant vanilla pudding mix with buttermilk and beat until thickened (about 2 minutes).
  2. Fold in half of the thawed whipped topping until light and airy.
  3. Add the drained crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges, mixing gently.
  4. Layer one-third of the mixture into a trifle dish or serving bowl.
  5. Create the first layer with one-third of the remaining whipped topping and one-third of the crushed cookies.
  6. Repeat the layers two more times, finishing with a layer of crushed cookies on top.
  7. Serve immediately for best results.

Notes

Make sure whipped topping is fully thawed for easier mixing. For best texture, assemble right before serving to prevent cookie sogginess.
