- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup cookie dough frosting
- 1 cup whipped chocolate buttercream
- 1 cup American buttercream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a large baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add in the dry ingredients, mixing just until incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the cookie cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, divide the cake into three equal sections and frost each section with layers of frosting.
- Slice and serve for a crowd.
Notes
Ensure your butter is softened for easy mixing. The cookie cake can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
