Description

A hearty and comforting casserole featuring ground beef, green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy Tater Tots, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can green beans (15 oz, drained)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package frozen Tater Tots (32 oz, do not thaw)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
  3. Lower the heat, then add green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and milk to the skillet. Stir until well combined and warmed through (about 3 minutes).
  4. Stir in garlic powder and onion powder, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Mix in half (½ cup) of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
  7. Arrange frozen Tater Tots in a single layer on top of the beef mixture.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the Tater Tots.
  9. Bake for 25-35 minutes until bubbly and Tater Tots are golden brown.
  10. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different vegetables or proteins. Great for leftovers and can be frozen for later.
