Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Mix the flour, baking powder, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, and kosher salt in a medium bowl.
- Add the buttermilk and stir until the dough is mostly combined.
- Prepare the butter mixture by combining melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Assemble the biscuits by pouring the melted butter mixture into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Top with the dough, spreading it evenly to the edges.
- Add the topping mixture over the raw biscuits.
- Score the unbaked dough into 9 equal squares with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 28-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Finish with sprinkling remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
