Ingredients

  • 2 bags microwave popcorn (or about 8 cups popped)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1 cup holiday-colored M&Ms
  • Mini chocolate Christmas trees (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn according to package instructions and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine butter and marshmallows. Heat over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth—about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the melted mixture over the popcorn and stir gently to coat.
  4. Fold in M&Ms, caramel bits, and any additional mix-ins while warm.
  5. Grease your hands and form the mixture into balls, placing them on wax paper to cool.
  6. Store in an airtight container once cooled.
