Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth and light (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking pans about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
