- 1 pound cooked sausage or diced ham
- 5–6 cups cubes of crusty bread or 2 bags of frozen hash browns
- 1–2 cups diced bell peppers, onions, or spinach (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional herbs like parsley or thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or two 8×8-inch dishes.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and season with salt and pepper.
- Spread bread cubes or hash browns evenly in the greased dish.
- Layer with cooked sausage or diced ham, followed by cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layers evenly.
- If using, sprinkle vegetables on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown and the eggs are set.
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
