Description

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (e.g., raisins, cranberries)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts, almonds)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt; mix with a whisk.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon until combined.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a rough dough forms.
  4. Gently fold in the mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. After the dough has risen, punch it down, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Cover the loaf and let it rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  10. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
  11. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
