Description

Chocolate Truffle Balls are rich, decadent, and easy-to-make no-bake treats made with a creamy chocolate center coated in cocoa powder, nuts, or coconut. Perfect for holidays, gifts, or a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

– 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate
– 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
– 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
– 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
– 1/8 teaspoon Salt
– 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Sprinkles or Nonpareils (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes. Add butter, vanilla, and salt, then stir until smooth.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, until firm enough to handle.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls. If mixture is too soft, refrigerate longer.
  6. Roll truffles in cocoa powder, nuts, or coconut to coat.
  7. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • For a firmer truffle, use a higher cocoa percentage chocolate.
  • Add flavors like orange zest, espresso powder, or liqueur for variation.
  • Wear gloves to keep hands clean while rolling.
  • Truffles can be frozen for up to 3 months; thaw in refrigerator before serving.
