Ingredients
– 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate
– 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
– 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
– 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
– 1/8 teaspoon Salt
– 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Sprinkles or Nonpareils (for coating)
– 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut (for coating)
Instructions
- Place chopped chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until it just begins to simmer.
- Pour hot cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes. Add butter, vanilla, and salt, then stir until smooth.
- Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours, until firm enough to handle.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls. If mixture is too soft, refrigerate longer.
- Roll truffles in cocoa powder, nuts, or coconut to coat.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
