A healthier twist on the classic Rice Crispy treat made with nut butter and honey or maple syrup for a rich, chocolate flavor.

- 1/2 cup Honey or Maple Syrup
- 1 cup Nut Butter (Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, or Sunflower Seed Butter)
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3 cups Rice Crispies
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare: Lightly grease a square baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt honey and nut butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine honey and nut butter. Microwave in intervals until melted and smooth.
- Make it chocolaty: Stir in cocoa powder until fully combined.
- Combine with Rice Crispies: Pour mixture over the Rice Crispies and stir until well coated.
- Press & set: Transfer to the baking dish and press down firmly.
- Chill: Place in the fridge for 2 hours or freeze for 1 hour to set.
- Slice and serve: Cut into squares and enjoy as a snack or dessert.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature, or in the fridge for two weeks.
