Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 12 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (e.g., peanut butter)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips
  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 4 tbsp unflavored protein powder

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine coconut oil, maple syrup (or honey), and nut butter over medium heat. Stir until melted, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and protein powder until well combined.
  3. Pour the melted mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until evenly combined.
  4. Press the mixture into an 8×8 inch pan lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm. Cut into bite-sized squares.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
