Description

Decadent chocolate cake pops coated in a creamy peanut butter and chocolate shell, perfect for celebrations and sweet gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Sprinkles (optional)
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions. Allow it to cool completely before proceeding.
  2. Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large mixing bowl, reveling in the inviting cocoa aroma.
  3. Add the creamy peanut butter and chocolate frosting, merging them with your hands or a spatula until the mixture is smooth and uniformly combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter, and arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Insert a lollipop stick into each cake ball, giving each pop a sturdy handle.
  6. Freeze the pops for about 30 minutes, solidifying their shape.
  7. While they freeze, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring until silky smooth.
  8. Dip each frozen cake pop into the melted chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip off for a perfect coating.
  9. If desired, add colorful sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet for a festive touch.
  10. Place the cake pops back on the parchment paper and allow the chocolate to cool and harden completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week; they can also be frozen for up to a month.
