  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar (for crinkle effect)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In two shallow bowls, place granulated sugar in one and powdered sugar in the other.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and oil until well-combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in salt, baking powder, and flour until the dough is stiff.
  6. Roll the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls, refrigerating if too sticky.
  7. Coat each ball in granulated sugar and then powdered sugar.
  8. Place the balls on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the tops form cracks.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
