- 4 ripe but firm bananas
- 8 popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
- 2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (for smoother chocolate)
- Toppings (choose 1-2):
- – 1/2 cup chopped nuts (peanuts, almonds)
- – 1/4 cup sprinkles
- – 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- – 1/4 cup crushed pretzels
- – 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prep bananas: Peel bananas and cut in half crosswise. Insert a stick into each half. Place on parchment-lined tray and freeze for 1 hour.
- Melt chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Dip & decorate: Working quickly, dip each frozen banana into chocolate, letting excess drip off. Immediately roll in toppings if using.
- Freeze solid: Return to tray and freeze for at least 2 hours until firm.
- Serve: Enjoy straight from freezer! For easier biting, let sit at room temp for 2-3 minutes.

- Use ripe but firm bananas – overly soft ones won’t hold shape well.
- For dairy-free: Use vegan chocolate chips.
