Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and break apart until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
- Pour in the buttermilk and vanilla extract, mix until a crumbly dough forms.
- Gently knead the dough until it forms a cohesive ball, careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Shape the dough into an 8-inch circle on the prepared sheet and cut into eight triangles.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
