Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the vanilla extract into the milk and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add half of the flour mixture, then the milk mixture, and finally the remaining flour, mixing gently to combine.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for approximately 45-55 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Let cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before removing and allowing to cool fully on a wire rack.
