Description
A lighter twist on the classic chicken parmesan featuring breaded chicken atop creamy cottage cheese, smothered in marinara and topped with melty cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 cup breaded chicken breast, cooked and sliced
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Layer 1/2 cup of cottage cheese in a serving bowl.
- Add 1 cup of sliced, cooked breaded chicken breast on top of the cottage cheese.
- Spoon 1/2 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella and 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil leaves.
- Serve immediately or broil for 2 minutes for a melty cheese crust.
Notes
Let cottage cheese come to room temperature before assembling. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
