Description

A comforting and family-friendly casserole featuring tender chicken, diced ham, and melty Swiss cheese, all enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce and topped with crispy breadcrumbs.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup ham, diced
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced ham, Swiss cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  4. Spread the chicken and ham mixture evenly into the greased baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  7. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use butter at room temperature to mix smoothly with breadcrumbs. Customize the cheese or add vegetables for variations.
