Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and dredge each in flour, shaking off the excess.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add sliced onion to the same skillet; cook for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a gentle simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, coating each piece with the creamy sauce, and heat through for 2 minutes.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
