Description

A cozy dish that combines tender chicken, fluffy dumplings, and creamy broth, perfect for chilly evenings and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken, cut into chunks
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. If using frozen mixed vegetables, stir them in at this stage.
  3. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and drop the pieces into the simmering soup.
  4. Cover the pot and cook for about 10-15 minutes until the dumplings are fluffy.
  5. Ladle into bowls and sprinkle freshly cracked black pepper on top before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. For a richer flavor, use fresh chicken or low-sodium chicken broth.
