Ingredients

- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, browned
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until creamy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the shredded coconut.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
