Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, dried cherries, pecans, and shredded coconut.
  6. Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers look set.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
