Description

A comforting casserole combining ground beef, crispy hashbrowns, and gooey cheese, perfect for weeknight dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag (30 ounces) frozen hashbrowns
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: green onions for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion for 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer frozen hashbrowns in a baking dish, top with beef mixture, and pour the creamy sauce over it.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, garnish with green onions, and serve.
