Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced

- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking

- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef with the chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk, mixing well.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, half of the beef mixture, and half of the cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Pour the soup mixture over the top and cover with foil.
- Bake for 1 hour, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
For best results, shred your cheese from a block rather than using pre-packaged shredded cheese. This helps it melt better.
