Description
This Cheesy Broccoli Pasta is a delightful fusion of creamy flavors and wholesome broccoli, making it a comforting family favorite that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (Fusilli or penne)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, gouda, or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- Bring a pot of salted water to boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss the broccoli florets into the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are vibrant green and slightly tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Sprinkle in the shredded cheese and stir until melted and creamy. If too thick, add a splash of pasta water.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well-coated in the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
To avoid pasta sticking, toss immediately in olive oil after cooking. For a richer flavor, use high-quality cheeses.
