Description

A fun and flavorful take on classic cheeseburgers wrapped in crispy egg rolls, perfect for snacks or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, until the onions turn translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until no longer pink.
  3. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, along with salt and pepper. Mix well and let simmer for a minute.
  4. Remove from heat and transfer the beef mixture to a bowl. Let cool slightly before folding in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, wet the edges with water, spoon some of the beef and cheese mixture into the center, fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly, sealing with water.
  6. In a skillet, add oil and heat over medium-high. Fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove from skillet and place on a napkin-lined plate to drain. Serve warm.

Notes

For baking, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes. Use enough oil for frying to keep twists crispy.
