Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until warm but not boiling, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and whisk in the cocoa powder, dark chocolate, cardamom, cloves, ginger, and sugar until fully combined and melted, about 2-3 minutes.
- Continue to heat, stirring occasionally, until hot but not boiling, for about 5 minutes.
- Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
