A vibrant and spicy Middle Eastern sauce made with fresh herbs, garlic, and chili peppers, perfect for drizzling on meats, grains, or as a dip.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 3–4 cloves garlic, peeled
- 1–2 green chili peppers
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ cup olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse your fresh herbs thoroughly and pat them dry. Peel the garlic cloves and chop the green chili peppers (remove seeds for less heat).
- In a blender, combine the fresh herbs, garlic, and chili peppers. Pulse until finely chopped—about 15-20 seconds.
- Add the cumin, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth—this should take about 30-60 seconds.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Spoon the sauce into a small bowl and serve as a condiment or dip.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
