- Whole wheat pizza crust
- 2 ripe pears, sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cup fontina cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
- 4 oz prosciutto, sliced
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the sliced pears and brown sugar. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Roll out the whole wheat pizza crust on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
- Spread the caramelized pears over the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded fontina cheese and crumbled blue cheese over the pears.
- Layer sliced prosciutto and shallots evenly on top.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze before slicing.
Notes
For a crispier crust, pre-bake the crust for 5 minutes before adding toppings.
