Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 glasses of ice
  • Sugar, simple syrup, or honey to taste
  • Lime juice or lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle until bubbling hot.
  2. Combine the boiling water in a measuring cup with the dried butterfly pea flowers.
  3. Stir gently and press the flowers against the sides to extract color.
  4. Steep for 3-5 minutes until color deepens.
  5. Strain the tea into a glass, discarding flowers.
  6. Sweeten with sugar or honey and add citrus juice if desired.
  7. Serve over ice in two glasses and enjoy!

Notes
