Description

A vibrant blue drink made with butterfly pea flowers, customizable with sweeteners and milk types for a refreshing latte.


Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 handful butterfly pea flowers (fresh or dried)
  • 3/4 cup sweetened milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 glasses of ice

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a convenient pot or kettle.
  2. Transfer the water to a cup and soak the butterfly pea flowers for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir gently and press the flowers against the cup to extract more color.
  4. Strain the blue tea into a glass carafe, discarding the flowers.
  5. Fill 2 glasses with ice.
  6. Divide the 3/4 cup of milk equally between the two glasses.
  7. Pour the butterfly pea tea over the milk and gently stir.
