Description
A comforting and flavorful fusion of tender butter steak bites paired with creamy Parmesan tortellini in a luscious garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb. sirloin steak (preferably grass-fed)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
- 12 oz. cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the steak dry, then season it with salt and pepper on both sides. Allow it to rest at room temperature.
- Bring salted water to a boil in a large pot, add cheese tortellini, and cook according to package instructions, about 5-7 minutes for fresh tortellini. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil on medium-high heat and sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat and add butter. Once melted, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Incorporate Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
- Add cooked tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat. Return steak bites to the pan and mix everything together.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
Don’t overcook the steak! Aim for medium-rare for juiciness. Keep the tortellini al dente for better texture.
