Description
A luscious layered dessert combining chewy brownies, rich chocolate pudding, and fluffy whipped cream for a heavenly indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 batch of homemade brownies (or a boxed mix), baked and cooled
- 1 tsp espresso powder (optional)
- 1 box (5.1 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold whole milk
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (chilled)
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (optional)
- Chocolate chips or shavings (optional, for garnish)
- Crushed cookies (like Oreos or chocolate wafers) (optional)
- Caramel or chocolate sauce (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Bake the brownies according to your favorite recipe (or the boxed mix instructions). If using espresso powder, mix it into the brownie batter before baking. Once baked, let them cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until well blended. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes until thickened, then refrigerate to set.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. If using whipped topping, skip this step.
- In a large glass trifle dish or individual glasses, layer brownie cubes, followed by a layer of chocolate pudding and then a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers until you reach the top.
- Top with chocolate chips, cookie crumbs, or shaved chocolate. Drizzle with caramel or chocolate sauce if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow brownies to cool completely before layering to prevent sogginess. Serve chilled for best flavor blending.
