- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- 3/4 cup whole milk, room temperature
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until evenly combined.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and fold gently until no dry flour remains.
- Fold in the blueberries carefully.
- In a baking dish, melt 1/2 cup of butter in the oven.
- Scoop the biscuit dough into 8 equal portions and place them into the melted butter.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use cold butter and milk to create flaky layers. Adjust the sugar for desired sweetness.
