Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup whole milk, room temperature
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until evenly combined.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and fold gently until no dry flour remains.
  5. Fold in the blueberries carefully.
  6. In a baking dish, melt 1/2 cup of butter in the oven.
  7. Scoop the biscuit dough into 8 equal portions and place them into the melted butter.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use cold butter and milk to create flaky layers. Adjust the sugar for desired sweetness.
