Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh berries (raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries)
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2–3 tablespoons natural sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Berries: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh berries and 2-3 tablespoons of your chosen natural sweetener over medium heat. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, mashing the berries gently until they start releasing juices.
- Stir in the Chia: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix well.
- Let it Thicken: Allow the mixture to sit for about 10-15 minutes at room temperature to thicken up.
- Transfer to a Jar: Once thickened, transfer your jam to a clean jar and let it cool before sealing.
- Store and Enjoy: Store your jam in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For best flavor, use ripe, organic fruits. If using frozen berries, thaw them first.
