Description

Tender short ribs marinated in a homemade Korean BBQ sauce, baked to perfection for melt-in-your-mouth goodness.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds short ribs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by whisking together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl.
  2. Marinate the short ribs in a resealable bag or dish, making sure they’re thoroughly coated, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. Remove short ribs from the marinade and place them in a large oven-safe pot in a single layer.
  5. Pour the reserved marinade over the ribs.
  6. Cover the pot tightly and bake for about 3 hours until the ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
  7. Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a crispy finish, uncover the pot during the last 30 minutes of baking.
