  • 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, egg, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Stir in melted chocolate.
  5. Pipe or spoon batter into the doughnut pan, filling each cavity 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
  7. Optional: Dip cooled doughnuts in chocolate glaze and top with mini marshmallows.
