- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
- 1/2 cup (90g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, egg, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined. Stir in melted chocolate.
- Pipe or spoon batter into the doughnut pan, filling each cavity 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
- Optional: Dip cooled doughnuts in chocolate glaze and top with mini marshmallows.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a pinch of cinnamon or espresso powder to the batter.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days (best served fresh).
- Use a piping bag or ziplock with a corner cut for neat batter distribution.
