Description

A comforting dish that combines sweet honey with pungent garlic for a delicious family meal.


Ingredients

  • 6 small boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp salted butter, divided
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground thyme
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. In an oven-safe skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add the remaining butter, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in honey, soy sauce, thyme, and ginger until smooth.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, and then bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Serve garnished with parsley and your favorite sides.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days. Can also be marinated ahead for enhanced flavors.
