Description

A comforting, creamy casserole that blends smooth cream cheese with savory ground beef and al dente spaghetti in a rich tomato sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil, add the spaghetti, and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 to 7 minutes, drain excess fat, and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Let it simmer until heated through.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the drained spaghetti, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt, stirring until well-coated.
  5. Spread some of the meat sauce in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, layer the cream cheese-coated spaghetti, and top it with the remaining meat sauce.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days; freezes well for up to 3 months.
