Description

A delectable breakfast that combines the taste of almond croissants with wholesome oats for a guilt-free start to the day.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/2 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup frangipane (almond cream)
  • 1/4 cup flaked almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Pour half of the oat mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish. Spread the frangipane on top, then layer with the remaining oat mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the flaked almonds on top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the oats are set.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, let your almond butter warm slightly before mixing, and consider toasting the flaked almonds.
