Description
A creamy and versatile avocado sauce that’s perfect for drizzling, dipping, or slathering on various dishes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large ripe avocado
- 1/2 medium lime, juiced (about 1 tablespoon)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 medium jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely diced (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and cut the avocado in half. Remove the pit and scoop the flesh into your blender.
- Add the avocado, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeños, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and sour cream to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the salt or lime to your preference.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Drizzle over dishes or serve as a dip. Enjoy!
Notes
For an ultra-smooth texture, pulse a few times before blending continuously. Store leftovers in an airtight container, pressing plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning.
