Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the French bread diagonally into 1-inch thick pieces, keeping the base intact.
  3. Mix the softened butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl.
  4. Spread the mixture generously between each slice of bread and brush the top with olive oil.
  5. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until butter is melted and heated through.
  7. Crisp the crust by removing the foil and baking for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
