Description

A crispy, flaky pastry filled with creamy cheese and juicy apricots, reminiscent of traditional Mediterranean desserts.


Ingredients

  • Fresh or Tinned Apricots
  • Almonds (sliced or chopped)
  • Cream Cheese (softened)
  • Fillo Pastry
  • Sugar (optional)
  • Butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and slice fresh apricots in half, removing the pit, or drain tinned apricots.
  3. Combine cream cheese, chopped almonds, and sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Lay a sheet of fillo pastry on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter.
  5. Layer another sheet on top and spread a portion of the cream cheese mixture along one edge.
  6. Top with apricot slices and roll the fillo pastry to form a log or triangle shape.
  7. Brush each layer with butter and place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature.
